Is Utilita Giving a registered charity?
Yes, Utilita Giving is a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales under company number 13919664.
Utilita Giving is a registered charity with Charity Number 1201330 (England & Wales) and SC052406 (Scotland).
The registered office address is Hutwood Court, Bournemouth Rd, Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh SO53 3QB.
We’re governed by our Board of Trustees who meet four times a year to help us with important decision making.
Is Utilita Giving independent from Utilita?
Yes. Utilita Giving is the charitable arm of Utilita, and is completely independent. We’re governed by our own Board of Trustees, most of whom are also independent from Utilita.
Utilita Giving follows the Charity Commission guidelines to keep its independence from Utilita. It has a conflict of interest policy which is reviewed each year by the Board of Trustees. Conflicts of interest are also declared and reviewed by the board each year.
The Utilita Giving team has guidance to make sure all real and perceived conflicts of interest have been identified, and are managed appropriately.

I’m not supplied by Utilita Energy? Can I apply for the Helping Hand Fund?
The Helping Hand Fund is restricted only to Utilita Energy credit customers.
What evidence will I need to provide to support my Helping Hand Fund application?
Details of your gas/electricity debt, including most recent bills.
Your household finances, including benefits and pensions etc.
What is One call, that’s all?

Can I apply to Utilita Giving again?
If you’re successful and receive a grant payment, you cannot reapply to Utilita Giving for three years.
If you’re unsuccessful and you don’t receive a grant payment, you can reapply anytime following a change in your circumstances.
Utilita Giving’s decision is final and we do not operate an appeals procedure
