Update: Temporary pause on small grants process
At Utilita Giving, we are committed to investing in charities that create long-term solutions to support people in fuel and food poverty. Over the past two years, we have provided £656,178.65 in funding to charitable organisations working tirelessly to address these critical issues.
Looking ahead, we are proud to announce a significant investment of £2.2 million into a new pilot service, ‘One Call, That’s All’ designed to support 6,000 individuals out of fuel and food poverty over the next two years.
As a result of this strategic focus and the allocation of grant funding to the pilot service, we have decided to temporarily pause the small grants scheme until December 2026.
This pause will enable us to:
Evaluate the effectiveness of our grant-giving programmes.
Realign our approach with our new theory of change and impact measures.
Enhance the quality of our grant-making systems and processes.
We understand that this news may be disappointing for those planning to apply for small grants. However, we believe this step is necessary to ensure we can provide impactful and sustainable support to those in need.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to strengthen our programs and deliver meaningful support to those in need.
Thank you for your continued collaboration and trust,
Helen Boardman
Executive Director, Utilita Giving
