A goalless draw has never been so memorable

Bloomfield Road hosted the latest Utilita Giving Takeover Day

Blackpool against Portsmouth may have been a goalless draw, but the fans still came away from the game with something worthwhile.

The League One fixture was another successful Utilita Giving Takeover.

Attendees – both of home and away persuasions – stopped off at the UG gazebo to learn more about the charity.

The day raised around £3,350, and food donations also arrived in the masses.

Helen Boardman, Executive Director at Utilita Giving said:

“We are incredibly grateful to Utilita and Blackpool for allowing us to be a part of their partnership.

“There are few better ways to be seen by so many people and raise awareness than through football.

“We have forged some incredibly strong relationships in Blackpool and the surrounding areas, thanks to both the Club and company, and we continue to reach even more vulnerable people across the area.

“Thank you again - together, we are making a real difference.”

Donations, both cash and food, will be split between UG and Blackpool FC Community Trust.
